Different varieties of Industrial & Edible Grade Salt have been categorised as Kyar, Reshta & Pan Salt.

Kyar Salt:

It is hard bold crystal variety. Due to its high purity levels it is extremely suitable for the Chlor-Alkali Industry. In the edible category it has virtually monopolised its usage in the manufacture of black salt. This salt is also extensively used in storing ice.

Reshta Salt:

The wind movement over the surface of Kyar Salt Pans egularly sprays water on their margins where salt dries out in the form of a fine white powder and steadily accumulates. This salt is chemically at par with kyar salt but since it is powdery in nature, it has high solubility and is, therefore, ideal for the purpose of water softening in Thermal Power Stations. Some of our prestigious customers are NTPC, DVB and Electricity Board.

Pan Salt:

This variety is primarily used for edible purposes. It is granular and relatively more white in appearance than Kyar and Reshta Salt. When rough crushed, this product has a ready market in Bihar, West Bengal and the Eastern States.

Apart from the above the Company is also manufacturing High Purity salt in bulk packing. This product is the basic raw material for IP Grade Salt for pharmaceutical applications.

In general, the salt produced at Sambhar Lake is of low Calcium and Magnesium contents thus has low hardness as compared to Marine Salt. Salt with low hardness is one of the desirable requirement of industries.

Super washed / Refined Iodised Salt in 1 kg. poly pack and also in bulk packing (Edible Grade).

Low Sodium Salt in 1 kg. poly pack and also in bulk packing.

Double Fortified Salt in 1 kg. poly pack and also in bulk packing.

Non Free Flow Janta Salt in 1 kg. / ½ Kg. Poly Pack (Edible Grade)

In addition, the left over mother liquor called "Bitterns" after manufacture of salt has high percentage of Sodium Sulphate (upto 40%) which are also available at Sambhar Lake.

Different varieties of Industrial & Edible Grade Salt have been categorised as Kurkutch, Poda & Baragara Salt.

Kurkutch Salt:

This is a small crystal variety relatively more white in appearance. It has a ready market for human consumption in all parts of the country and is normally marketed after rough crushing. It is the basic raw material for a salt refinery also.

Both Poda and Kurkutch Salt are ideally suitable for water softening in Thermal Power Stations

Baragara Salt:

This is a bold crystal variety consumed extensively for edible purposes in U.P., tribal areas of M.P. and the Terrai region. This variety is extremely popular in Nepal also and approx 2 lac MY is consumed by them annually. When crushed into a fine powder it is an ideal substitute for vacuum salt and has found wide acceptability since it is 1/3rd its price.

Refined Salt:

The company is manufacturing iodised refined salt in 1 kg. consumer poly pack under BIS license. This product is having ISI Mark and is marketed through a distributor net work in Rajasthan, H.P., U.P. and Haryana. Our product is also approved by Government of Rajasthan for Public Distribution System as a result of which we have a formidable presence in the State.
Apart from the above the Company is also manufacturing High Purity salt in bulk packing. This product is of I.P. grade and is for pharmaceutical Industries.

Liquid Bromine:

The mother liquor left over after the production of salt is rich in bromides. Bromine is extracted from this mother liquor using a steaming out process through a stripping tower made of glass. We produce 300 TPA of high quality bromine. The purity is even higher than ISI standards. After recovery of Liquid Bromine, the left over mother liquor called "Debrominated Bitterns" contains Magnesium Chloride which can be recovered for commercial applications.
